Corpus-informed application based on Korean Learners’ Corpus: substitution errors of topic and nominative markers

Abstract This study aims to demonstrate the need for learner-corpus-informed applications and proposes methods of application that promote proper use Korean topic nominative markers. extracted 3004 pieces error from error-annotated corpus Learners’ Corpus, largest learner date. A detailed examination above data was conducted subdivide types substitution errors related markers, analyze rate according type level proficiency. The statistical revealed no consistent correlation between proficiency level. Furthermore, based on proportion by level, this common mistake boxes with real errors; these are generally committed learners all levels not presumed problematic grammarians or intuition-based teachers. These can, therefore, be utilized as a practical tool inclusion in pedagogical materials, such learner’s dictionaries textbooks.
